Empowering young people of color towards leadership and a brighter future.

Supporting education and innovation.

Welcome to the Tobago Legacy Project. We are a Non-Profit Organization focused on empowering BIPOC youth. We believe in nurturing and mentoring so that each and every youth have a role-model and leader they can count on. Through community service/outreach, speaking engagements, scholarships and much more; we seek to fulfill our purpose in helping to change the world, one student at a time.

  • Our Vision

Our vision entails nurturing and empowering the future leaders by imparting knowledge on mental and physical health/wellness, essential principles of business management and financial literacy, as well as providing guidance through music mentorship.

  • Our Mission

The main purpose of our organization is to inspire BIPOC youth to achieve their full potential while empowering their minds, body and soul.

Mental & Physical Health

Here at The Tobago Legacy Project, we value mental health and seek to break the stigma behind it which greatly haunts our community. We have a trained clinician within our organization and partnerships with mental health organizations to help provide effective, evidence-based care to those in need of assistance. We also focus on physical health and teach the importance of proper nutrition as well as exercise.

One of our goals it to educate our youth on the importance of financial literacy. We teach not only the importance of this but also the foundation for understanding how to be financially literate. This includes but is not limited to understanding the value of credit and how to manage it, budgeting, bill management, saving, investing and much more. While not every young person may want to open a business, we provide mentorship to those who do while also helping those who don’t with business management skills. We help with everything from resume building, internship, job prep, and much more.

Music Mentorship

Within our music program, thanks to TLP's collaboration with the FAMS coalition, we can provide our youth with exclusive access to interviews featuring contemporary celebrity music artists. These interviews will underscore essential elements crucial for success in today's music industry. In conjunction with our music program, we aim to introduce complimentary Virtual Vocal Lessons Courses. Acknowledging the significance of Black Music history, we aspire to introduce a comprehensive 5-part Music Appreciation Course on our educational platform. This course aims to enlighten our youth about the historical roots of music and its profound cultural impact. Courses Available Spring 2025
